Ten Tips for Nature PhotographersThis article came about after a deviant specifically requested that we write ten clear, simple tips for Photographing Nature. Troubleshooting articles and information can be very useful, but sometimes breaking it down into manageable memorable chunks is so much easier. So without further ado please enjoy our Ten Tips for Nature Photographers!

1) Get into your environment

Yes, it's rhubarb. To be a true photographer, you must be at one with rhubarb.
When we talk about photographing Nature, we don't necessarily mean wide expansive rolling landscapes. Whilst they contain any number of elements that are nature focused and made up from natural resources - Nature Photography is about getting into your environment and getting up close and personal with these elements. See the light and remember it

Lighting in photography is a living, changing art. One of the most important abilities of a photographer is to see light and to remember it. Light is the most changing element in our daily life. We move among solid objects and among people who do not change drastically during a day or a week. But visually the appearance of our environment and of people around us may change from one hour to the next due to the time of day, the weather, or the particular source of light. Photographers are aware of these changes and store in their memory the impact different types of light have on our emotions and our subconscious. For a photographer, watching the light becomes second nature.

Project Educate: 4 tips for great product photos!In a world where many products are easily accessible on the internet - yes, even those - we've nearly fallen victim to the images that are slightly better than the rest, that entice us in, that persuade us to buy, bid, eat, cook and whatever else. (You've seen my Nom Nom articles right?) So it's not unusual that an eye-catching image can make all the difference when it comes to selling your products, or your photography - or both.
Stand out
Strong, Clear photographs will not only help you stand out on a web-page, but also will help you get your blog out there, or get your deviantART profile a bit more notice. Having a good working environment is often better than having that top notch expensive camera. So don't worry too much about your equipment. Get to know your angles, backdrops, props and lighting and the rest should hopefully fall into place.

Project Educate Photography ScheduleWelcome to the General Photography Project Educate week! Since there are so many sub-galleries of Photography here on deviantART, we're not going to be able to cover every single one this week. And since there are various specific CVs for those galleries, they will hopefully (and have in the past) taken care of that! Complications with CompositionI love seeing results on the camera screen, and through the lens. Often after I've taken a photo, I can't wait to get home and see it on the computer screen too. But my pet peeve is the maths and numbers behind getting it spot on. I can't deal with that, I loathe it, and actually it takes the fun out of Photography (for me anyway!) I know that some people love the technical details, I think that's why ~TouchedD and I work so well - he does the figuring out, I do the seeking for the shot - but if you're purely a creative type with no passion for delving into technicalities then hopefully this article will be able to help you.
You will find countless articles, tips, tutorials and theories on Composition. Many will throw advice and instruction at you before you can even press the shutter on your camera. In truth though, it can be much more basic than that. Before you take a photograph, think about why you're taking the shot. I know this doesn't work everytime, because often (like me)

About one week ago one of our members reproached our group of accepting only photos which picture women and declining the ones including men. What is rubbish of course and we also explained the deviant that our decisions are based on quality, technique, concept etc. Still I took a look at our gallery and noticed that there really were/are only a few photos including men.
And I asked myself why.

My first thought was that first there are not many conceptual photographers here on dA in general (for example compared to flickr) and second that only a few of them are male. But is that all?
To answer this question or give a possible idea why there aren't many men in conceptual photography I asked a couple of guys about this topic!

Wayne Levin's work recently caught my eye at a Photography Exhibition - you may already have read about it if you caught the latest edition of Photography Fortnightly. As well as being an awesome and very unique idea, constructed creatively and tastefully - it reminded me of Urban Exploration. Levin explores beneath the sea, another place that many of us don't get to see unless we venture there with specific equipment - and often training. Exploring reefs, water life and shipwrecks, Levin's work truly is an act of Urban Exploration. It just shows us that there are no limits to being an Urban Explorer and there are many un-chartered 'waters' that need to be documented and shown,

Synthesis Photograph Group

Synthesis Photo Group was founded from people who finished Bufsad’s basic photography education. Our aim as a group is to unite people ,who like to take photos and to improve his/her point of view about photography, in same platform. Our group makes some projects, exhibitions and shows according to our goals and aims.
After education, the group made its first exhibition with 48 photographs at Falconlife. After that a workplace generated as “Synthesis Photo Group” under Bufsad. This workplace’s goal is to make projects.

Under the name of “Synthesis Photo Group”, the first project was at Golyazi Village near Bursa. Group took photographs for 4 months. After 4 months, the exhibition with 48 photos and named “Sentez Photo Group First Composite Exhibiton Golyazi” was showed at Zafer Plaza in 22 May 2006. This exhibition also qualified for upper round in Sami Guner Cup. It was also showed in some magazines with Golyazi’s history.

The second project was “Village Life”. This project continued for 6 months with 16 group members. In this project nearly 40 Bursa Village traveled. As a result of the project, 48 photos as summary was showed at Tayyare Culture Centre in 22 January 2007. After that same exhibition was showed in Zafer Plaza and in BASAF (Balikesir photo museum). 7000 people saw “Village Life” exhibition.

The third project was named “Quiet Band”. It was free subject and it contains black and white photos. The photographs was showed with poem. The exhibition opened at Tayyare Culture Centre Sami Guner Gallery in 15 October 2007.

In present time, group members are working on their fourth project.

Kim bu ''Sentez'' ??

Sentez Fotoğraf Grubu, Bufsad’ın ‘Temel Fotoğraf Eğitim Semineri’ni tamamlamış fotoğrafçılardan kurulmuştur. Grup olarak amacımız, fotoğraf çekmeyi seven ve bu konudaki bakış açısını geliştirmek isteyenleri bir çatı altında toplamaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda grubumuz; farklı konuları ele alan projeler oluşturmakta, sergi ve gösteriler düzenlemektedir.

Grup, ilk sergisini, eğitim seminerleri sonunda 48 Fotoğraf ile Falconlife’ta fotoğraf severlere sundu. Daha sonra proje oluşturmak amacıyla “Sentez Fotoğraf Grubu” adı ile Bufsad çatısı altında bir atölye grubu oluşturuldu.
“Sentez Fotoğraf Grubu” adı ile, ilk proje olarak Gölyazı Köyü’nü (Bursa) seçildi ve yaklaşık 4 ay süren çekimlerden sonra 48 Fotoğraftan oluşan “Sentez Fotoğraf Grubu 1. Karma sergisi Gölyazı – Apolyont’u 22 Mayıs 2006’da Zafer Plaza Alışveriş Merkezi’nde fotoğraf severlerle sunuldu. Gösteri Ayrıca Sami Güner Kupasında tur atladı, bunun yanı sıra farklı mecmua ve dergilerde Gölyazı’nın tarihi ve eşsiz güzellikleri yine bu fotoğraflarla tanıtıldı.

2. proje olarak seçilen “Köy Yaşamı” için 16 Sentez Fotoğraf Grubu üyesi 6 ay boyunca yaklaşık 40 Bursa köyünü gezdi. Bu birikimlerinin özetleri olan 48 kareyi de 22 Ocak günü Tayyare Kültür Merkezinde izleyicilerle paylaştı. Sonrasında aynı sergi Bursa Zafer Plaza Alışveriş Merkezi'nde ve BASAF - Balıkesir Fotoğraf Müzesine de taşındı. Toplamda 7000 kişi tarafından izlendi.

3. Proje de "Sessiz Bando" ismiyle serbest konu ve siyah beyaz çekilen, fotoğrafların şiir eşliğinde sunulması oldu. Bu serginin açılışını da 15 Ekim'de yine Tayyare Kültür Merkezi Sami Güner Sanat Galerisinde gerçekleştirildi.

Şu sıralar grup üyeleri 4. Projeleri için çalışmalarına devam ediyor.
